Sensuality, that's all about sex, isn't it?
No. Sensuality is all that which pertains to the senses or physical sensation--the faculties of sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch, by which humans perceive stimuli originating from outside or inside the body. Sex is a sensual activity because all of the senses are stimulated, however, despite popular misconceptions, sensuality is not sex-centered. Sensuality is also not about hedonistic indulgence in carnal appetites. It is the honoring of and attention to natural sensousness in ordinary everyday life--the fragrance of a flower, a balmy breeze on skin, the fluidity of pure silk, or the sweetness of a ripe peach--in a healthy and balanced way.

What is Wellness?
By the term wellness we are referring to a state of health of the mind, the body, and the spirit that is closely associated with lifestyle. Wellness is not the mere absence of disease. It is a proactive, preventive approach designed to achieve optimum levels of health with equal emphasis on social and emotional functioning. Wellness can also be defined as an active process through which you become aware of and make choices toward a more successful existence.

However, health and wellness are not synonyms. Health refers simply to the physical body being free from diseases, but wellness is an overall balance of your physical, social, spiritual, emotional, intellectual, environmental, and occupational well-being. Wellness is a lifestyle and is not an end to be acheived. Health is a goal one can acheive while wellness is a dynamic concept that continues for a lifetime. A wellness-oriented lifestyle encourages you to adopt habits and behaviors that promote better health and an improved quality of life. It also involves the recognition that you have physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs, with each dimension being necessary for optimal levels of functioning.

Wellness is a positive approach to living - an approach that emphasizes the whole person. It is the integration of the body, mind, and spirit; and the appreciation that everything you do, think, feel, and believe has an impact on your overall state of well-being.

What is Tantra?
Tantra is a practical yogic science, a way of life, and a world view (conceptual framework of ideas through which an individual interprets the world and interacts with it) which encompasses the full integration of mind (intellect), body (senses), and spirit (heart, connectedness to all of creation). The term "tantra" comes from the Sanskrit word meaning "weave", or "continuity". In tantra, there is complete weaving or continuity between the body, mind, and spirit. Tantra is derived from ancient Indian texts of Hinduism and Buddhism, and has even evolved into a New Age interest. There are many different forms of tantra, some are authentic and some are not. Tantra does not require adherence to any particular religious beliefs, dogma, or rituals and rejects all forms of prejudice. The only required ideal is to live as a whole and authentic human being, without the exclusion of natural passion, creativity, enjoyment, and sensual perception in order to become and remain deeply connected with life. Tantra is a very simple, deep, subtle, spiritual practice, world view, and way of living in which adherents learn to use the power of subtle energies, sensuality and creativity to be completely present to true reality, with full acceptance and an open heart, to experience bliss, which is a feeling of incredibly intense contentedness. Despite the common misconceptions fueled by ill-informed sources, tantra is not only about sacred sex. Tantra does indeed embrace the aspect of healthy human sexuality, but not any more or less than it embraces any other aspect of humanness. In tantra, all aspects of living are equally sacred.

What are the Tantric Arts?
Tantric Arts refers to any artistic endeavors that can be used to cultivate spiritual development through creative expression and awareness of the senses. The term comes from the classic sixty-four tantric arts of which mastery was required of ancient Indian Dakinis, or tantric priestesses. Today, Tantric Arts encompasses all fine arts and humanities (such as dance, painting, poetry and prose, calligraphy, and design), gardening, decorating, lovemaking, food preparation and enjoyment, massage, aromatherapy, ayurvedic science,...etc.

How does coaching differ from psychotherapy or counseling?
Psychotherapy is a form of healing that is based on a diagnostic model and deals primarily with past issues and removing emotional pain or dysfunctional behaviors. Coaching deals with the present decisions and future action and originates from a premise that the client is not broken and in need of fixing, but needs a new perspective on how to reach her highest potential. Often, coaching and therapy are complimentary when taken concurrently.

How does individual coaching work at LifeBliss Solutions?
After the client contacts me for a free initial session we decide together whether or not we are a good match. If the answer is yes, the client fills out an in-depth coaching questionnaire and then may choose between a group of 2 or 4 45-60 minute sessions per month, plus free unlimited email contacts. I charge a monthly fee, payable in advance via PayPal. I do strongly recommend, though it is not required that the client commit to a 3-month minimum for our work together, because generally it takes that amount of time to generate measurable results. Our sessions are conducted in person, via telephone, or live online video. If we decide on phone sessions I will call at our scheduled session time, and it is imperative that for maximum productivity the client minimize the incidence of interruptions or distractions during the call. Coaching clients may receive reduced admission to some LifeBliss workshops. The client is free to terminate our partnership at any time and receive a refund for any unused portion of the sessions.
